Anyone who knows me can tell you that I love games and puzzles. So when interactive, live-action escape the room games started opening up all over the city, I was pretty quick to jump on the bandwagon.
Now that I've been to a quite a few, I know that I-Exit is by far my favourite. Like many other places, the premise is quite simple. Find clues, solve riddles, unlock boxes, and, ultimately - escape the room. But what makes I-Exit better than their competition is the way they've incorporated different types of challenges, things like cooperative tasks that require teamwork, or ones that play on people's individual strengths. And while most venues pride themselves on being frustratingly unsolvable - the focus at I-Exit is more about having fun. The puzzles are challenging, but not impossible, and they're designed to maintain a good momentum throughout the game.
Each themed set of rooms is meticulously and artfully arranged to push the limits of aspiring escapees. You can choose from a glitzy Las Vegas theme, a trickier music room theme, or, my favourite - a pirate ship!
The location couldn't be better, right in downtown's entertainment district. They've got cold drinks for sale and lockers for your valuables while you play. Each game is one hour and is best suited to groups of 3 to 5 people.
