I stumbled on this adorable, shoebox sized restaurant while rushing between school and work. I needed something quick and I'd never noticed the tiny store front before - but as soon as I stepped inside, I knew I was in the right place. It smells incredible, and even though it has a great, downtown location, the prices are very reasonable. It's since become a favourite lunch spot of mine.
And it really is small. The staff prepare and serve food from behind a tiny counter and there are a few chairs lined up against the window for eating in, so take out is highly recommended. There are salad rolls and springs rolls, delicious, well-balanced Phở soup, and the best bánh mì subs I've ever had (grilled meat, pickled veggies, pâté, avocado, cilantro, etc.). Everything tastes so fresh and flavourful.
Even if the awesome food wasn't enough, the service is an even better reason to visit. The staff are so friendly, warm and welcoming - it really feels like family. Even when the restaurant is packed over lunch hour, the servers treat every person like they are special, and you can tell this by the stream of regulars greeted by name and the care and attention that goes into each order. I highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner.
