After a great meal at The Wallflower (check out my article) one day, I walked a few steps down to this store without any expectations and was happily surprised. It is a small space, but it has any fine art essential I might've needed that day. I found a selection of pencils, markers, paper, brushes, pastels, paints and canvases.
Welcoming you in his space, the lovely artsy Stan is behind the counter waiting for your questions. He didn't really engage in conversation with me as I got in, but as soon as I had questions about the brushes and canvases, he gladly answered. He mentioned the option of custom canvas stretching and wood panels. He showed me a little box with extra small pieces of unused canvas that it's possible to take home for free to practice... Or give to a homeless street artist! So smart! I ended up buying my new favorite fine brushes for line work in face painting!
Another cool fact: the store features the work of a different artist every month in their shop window!
