Everyone loves a little soft serve don’t they? Made from organic locally sourced milk, the soft serve at Softs Peaks is like no other. Creamy and smooth, it has a lightly sweet flavour that is all natural. Not to mention, it’s lower in calories than typical soft serve as there is less fat! The toppings that come with the ice cream are also locally sourced coming from the Okanagan and the Fraser Valley.
On the menu are a range of soft serve topped with a variety of sauces, syrups and crunchy additions. The signature flavour, and my personal favourite, is the honeycomb peak which comes topped with a piece of local honey adding a slight sweetness to the treat. Being a fan of savoury and sweet, I’m also a fan of the salty Himalayan which includes your choice of one syrup (always chocolate for me!) and a generous sprinkling of Himalayan pink salt. Others are topped with toasted coconut, matcha powder and even TimTam flakes for a wide range of options. They also recently added a range of milkshakes to their menu as well with flavours like chocolate and caramel latte.
Located in Gastown, there is limited seating in the small shop. The best thing to do on a summery evening is to grab your ice cream to wander through the streets and do some window shopping.
