Located in the hip Gastown neighbourhood of Vancouver, Steamworks is my favourite place to get a fresh and tasty IPA with some chicken wings. The building itself is classy with an exposed brick wall. It's a charming old building.
Steamworks has been the favourite place to visit with my work friends. It's located in the convenient downtown area (next to the Waterfront sky train station).
At work, we always go to Steamworks when someone leaves our team. I honestly don't know why it's only when people leave.
A little bit of history: Steamworks brewery was founded in 1995 and it is the only steam-powered brewery in Canada. I don't know if it's the steam that makes the beer so good, but the beers here are fresh and tasty.
They also have really good food options. The chicken wings and Thai pizza are my favourite with some fresh IPA!
Tip: they have very good lunch happy hour till 14:30 everyday. This place gets really busy, so if you are going for dinner, please reserve.
