I love pubs. I love the atmosphere, the coziness, the typical pub food and, of course, beer. Nowadays, a lot of fancy pubs are opening, which is definitely not the sense of a proper pub. There must be wooden tables or barrels, stools and a proper bar you can sit at.
Here you have all of that. I have to admit, it is located in the city center, and therefore not really a hidden place, but I have never experienced it as being touristy. The staff are exclusively people from the UK and Ireland, so you don't have to “get your German on”. The beer on tap is a selection of Irish and Austrian beers.
It's not that I am a huuuuge football fan, but sitting at the bar on a Sunday afternoon, drinking beer and having the best potato wedges ever is an experience you may want to try. People around you cheering, “commenting” and laughing just add to this vibe. Trust me, you won’t feel like you are in the fancy first district, and in the end, you may stay longer than planned.
