When I was a kid I was always intrigued by the things I saw in Hollywood movies or American sitcoms. And I remember vividly how foreign yet so cool the scenes with the actors eating Asian takeout food looked like. I really envied having those individual white square take-out boxes and all the chopstick action involved with them.
Of course, some time passed, I grew older and similar types of take-out boxes started appearing at Asian food restaurants in Lithuania. But for whatever reason, the fascination with the magical white box has stayed with me up to this day. Thus, once in a while, I crave some quality saucy noodles from a nearby spot called DOU ASIA. Always for takeout. For all the apparent reasons.
DOU ASIA has been a steady choice for quite some time now. I love their Bao buns with shrimp, but my fav is the Wok Udon noodles with peanut sauce and chicken. And the best part is that whenever you want to switch things up a bit - you can always customize your order by choosing different noodles, sauce and types of protein. This becomes problematic when you're craving everything...
I do understand my recommendation for Asian takeout food sounds weird in the context of me being a Lithuanian that is trying to represent his culture in the best possible way, but perhaps you as well might be stuck in childhood memory like me. Or simply crave a good Asian meal.
