I love books and bookstores, so here is one cool spot related to that! Juodas Šuo, translated from Lithuanian, means black dog, but the title has nothing to do with the spot. Juodas Šuo is a secret bookstore in Vilnius! The bookstore is located in an old apartment, it was built in the 20th century, therefore, you will get to see what typical flat of that time looks like!
Juodas Šuo sells only second-hand books, and I love the premise of only selling old books! Here I have found a variety of genres, and they also have a great selection of English titles. I think it’s a great place to buy books cheaper and resurrect old ones and give them a new life. The most important thing is that you can find here books that you wouldn't be able to find in any other ordinary bookstore in Vilnius.
Sometimes Juodas Šuo hosts art events, so check their Facebook page to find them, if you're interested!
It is secret bookshop, so it can take a while until you find it, but it’s worth it! Don't forget to ring the bell when you arrive so that they can open the door for you.
