Debar Maalo is the most vibrant and lively Skopje district, with lots of bars and restaurants. During the summer, this scene becomes even bigger, louder and more crowded. Given the location, near the Central Park where all the summer clubs are, it’s a perfect place for you to start your journey through Skopje’s crazy night life.
With that being said, you should check out “Soulmatik”, a newly opened bar in the centre of the District. It is pretty big, for Skopje standards, and sports a bright and joyful crowd in their late 20’s and early 30’s. It’s a bit lazy on Mondays and Tuesdays, but all the other days of the Week are pretty lively. You will hear different music styles, with themed nights each day, and popular home DJ’s performing on the busiest nights and playing some vinyls.
Don’t ask for a drinks menu, if you want something out of the ordinary whiskey-vodka-beer orders, ask the waitresses or just go straight to the bartenders, I’m sure they’ll find something suitable for your taste. The party stops around 01:00, but don’t worry, you will find the club “Jukebox” nearby, or take a 5 minute walk to the center of the Park and get into one of the Clubs there.
