When you say Italian Food in Skopje, everybody associates it with “Gino”. Located in the City Shopping Center, near the Macedonia Square, it’s been the city’s authority for Pizza and Pasta for many years now.
The restaurant is very spacious, with a beautiful terrace that gets a lot of light during the warmer days, from May to October, where you can enjoy the sun and the delicious cuisine. The menu is pretty big, and besides the Italian specialties you will also find plenty of meat and fish dishes. You might need some time to read through it.
My warm recommendations are Ravioli with ricotta & spinach and Penne with penny bun & red sauce. If you are more of a Pizza guy, no problem. They’ve got a wooden oven inside, so you are guaranteed to get one of the crispiest pizza doughs you’ve ever tried. Order Parmigiana.
Needless to say, order a bottle of Macedonian wine with it. Maybe a Bovin Merlot for the fans of the red or Tikves Traminec if you like white wine. The place is a bit pricier than the other establishments, but it’s worth every penny.
