Everybody knows that the printed media market has suffered a lot in the last decades with the digitalization of our world. Our website is a real sign of that. Before, we could only know places and stuff by buying printed media and reading it, or else watching TV - which was not on-demand, by the way.
Having said that, newsstands were some of the shops that most suffered from this shift. And until the year 2019, perception of newsstands in Barcelona was not very different from any other region of the world: BAD!
That was when Pablo, the creator of NEWS and COFFEE came up with the idea of setting up a very cool newsstand with media and lots of alternative and curated printed media, along with... SPECIALTY COFFEE! Yes! And it was a blast in the city. I am sure that many people might have said: why didn't I think of this myself? The conjunction of these two aspects was very synergic: since the first opening, NEWS and COFFEE is already in its third branch (which is the one listed here) and I am sure there will be more.
Speaking of more, following his great idea - we already have other spots opening recently that will give a second and certainly better life for newsstands in Barcelona and hopefully the whole planet!
