What do you expect from a trip to Brussels? The Château Moderne on the Mont des Arts in the centre of Brussels has it all: a beautiful gothic view with some modernist buildings in the front, fresh tap beer, and delicious Belgian fries.
Rain or shine, people always sit outside or in front of the big windows at this beautiful location. I often come here with friends right before or after heading into the centre for shopping, movie nights or other because it's easy to reach, and I never get tired of the sun setting behind the majestic church of the Grand Place. Normally, every year, at the end of spring/beginning of summer, the open-air film festival uses the stairs of the Mont des Arts next to the Château Moderne as a seating area for people to enjoy a free movie screening.
The same owner also has a restaurant at the place Fernand Coq named Le Coq if your mind is settled with fewer magic views while you chat with your friends over a juicy burger: same quality, more lively neighborhood, lesser view.
