"Chyl is a very cute café/restaurant with an excellent plant game. It's the place you bring your girlfriends for a healthy brunch to cure your hangover."

Let's first clarify what CHYL means; Change Your Lifestyle, Cherish Your Life... Granted, it may be a bit much just for brunch, but I like the idea. Chyl is a very cute café/restaurant/bio shop with an excellent plant game and a wonderful terrace to enjoy nice days. It's the kind of place you bring your girlfriends for a healthy brunch/lunch or to cure your hangover. Both the plates and the place are very colorful and joyful. It's a little cocoon of happiness during grey Belgian days.

I'm a fan of the decor; it reminds me of Marrakesh meets Scandinavia, with its healthy juices and copious brunches. A little Middle Eastern flavor and very fresh ingredients. Also enjoyable is the small bio shop where you can buy in bulk that has good products for kids as well as other cosmetics products. It is a two-in-one kind of place, in the prettiest atmosphere!

As they would say, "Let's Chyl today"!

Flagey Market – A Sunday out

The Flagey Sunday Market has drifted from a fruit, vegetables and meat market to a gathering spot for the locals living in the area. And I love it!

Nenu – Vietnamese with a twist

The name Nenu comes from the Vietnamese concept of “an nhau”, a style of drinking and eating culture, sharing small and large plates with friends & family.

Dishes come with bold and rich flavors, which blend different cultures and cuisines. Our choices fell on some mezze, including a tasty paprika hummus...

Place Brugmann – The stylish "French" district

"Place Brugmann" in Ixelles, slightly off the centre of Brussels, is reminiscent of Paris. I like the independent shops surrounding it & the Sunday market!

To Meli – Greek Delicatessen in Schuman

My favorite is Spanakopita, a buttery & flaky phyllo pastry with a filling of cooked spinach and feta cheese. For dessert I recommend a slice of Bougatsa!
