El Torito, probably the most colorful restaurant in Bucharest, has it all – great atmosphere, delicious food, pleasant music and the best margarita in town.
I think that locals (including me) prefer going out here because El Torito offers an exotic experience and it shows you a tasty cuisine that you are not familiar with. The mix of flavors and the combination of spicy, salty and sweet ingredients are not so common in our traditional food, but this does not stop me from finding Mexican food really delicious.
I have tried different dishes from El Torito and I recommend you to try queso fundido as an appetizer or as a snack for you drink. It is melted cheese with tequila and jalapenos, served with homemade nachos. Crema de maiz, corn soup, is also a must-try.
It is very nice when they have live music in the evening and the artists perform traditional Latin music and famous Latin songs.
