At La Metoc TeaHouse it feels like you are visiting your grandparents’ house in the countryside. There are only places outside in the garden, between the fig and cherry trees, where you can enjoy one of the many types of tea and delicious homemade cookies and jams.

The place is open only during summertime since the house itself is not really used, except for its garden. The house belongs to a monastery (that’s where the name of the place comes from, since “metoc” translates to small monastery or a real estate property of a monastery) and it’s one of the oldest houses in Bucharest, from the 1800’s. It is situated in the Armenian neighborhood that I highly recommend you take a walk around and experience the melange of architectural styles and periods. It’s also the neighbourhood I live in, since it’s my favourite one in Bucharest and I am sure you’ll love it too :).
