Are sweets your guilty pleasure? Well, in my case, I don't feel any guilt when they are made only with natural ingredients. I have a sweet tooth, but I try to avoid buying packed desserts from supermarkets, which expire in a few months or even a year. I prefer to eat some freshly baked desserts from places like MIEZ, one of the most interesting artisanal bakeries in Bucharest.
Although bread is the star product here, you can also find cakes, cookies, pies, quiches and other pastries. I like to try different kinds of sweets and pies and a visit to Miez is like a cultural trip for me, because they follow recipes inspired by different cultures and they explore cuisines from all over the world.
At Miez you can discover Greek, Turkish, Moroccan, Austrian, French, Polish, Swedish and, of course, Romanian-inspired recipes. All these types of products are not available simultaneously and this is why a single visit might not be enough. They do not produce large quantities of breads and pastries, and this also means that the products are always freshly baked.
