For me, this is a place where the past meets the present. I have very nostalgic feelings about this place, where I find myself having the best waffle experiences, which takes me back to my childhood.
When I was a kid, my mom took me once here, and I always remembered the taste, and when I moved to Budapest, I found this place again, and all the memories started running back to me. When I tried the waffle it was the same feeling I had many many years ago.
This place might seem a bit retro to the people who pass by, but one thing is certain: some things are always great, no matter how much time passes. You can choose from a huge variety of toppings for your waffle, but I recommend just a simple waffle with some powdered sugar on top. And oh boy… it is real crunchy!
This place is close to the city center and Vaci Street, too, but if you find yourself in Ferenciek tere, make sure you stop here! As a side note, many Budapest landmarks are within walking distance, so you CAN stop here for a quick bite.
