La Bodega is a cozy little eatery in Glasgow's Dennistoun area. They specialise in Venezuelan coffee and food, offering delicious empanadas and arepas in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
The tajada arepa is my favourite dish on the menu, combining Venezuelan cheese and fresh plantain in a cornmeal flatbread. The Pollo Empanadas (chicken empanadas) are also delicious and in a perfect snack size, but if I'm hungry, I will often order two or just go for one of the larger arepas options.
La Bodega has many other options I am excited to explore ( ), and in my opinion, they have the best-tasting coffees in the East End.
With free WiFi and very reasonable pricing, La Bodega is the perfect spot to take my book or laptop on a lunch break. Their staff are very friendly, lovely to chat to and occasionally they play some music to set a bit of a mood. This all adds up to a great spot to visit.
