While my mother and I were out for coffee, we were drawn in by the cutesy bubble writing of Oscar & Holly's name outside. It was evident almost immediately that this Glasgow cafe is family-oriented and child friendly. Aside from the potential high-chairs around one table, and the kids and families seated there for some Sunday treats, the venue is very bright, colorful, and welcoming, with a text chalkboard, plenty of sweet treats and lime-green walls.
It reminds me of my grandmother's, although I think this is because it is so welcoming, warm, my grandmother also has lime-green walls in her house, and all the food there is lovingly hand-made from family recipes. It's easy to see why it's such a popular venue for folks with kids.
We ordered a pot of tea and a mars bar cake, which was lovely, incredibly sweet and rich. The tea was also loose-leaf, which I'll admit, surprised me a little. I'd definitely go back there, for the warm and welcoming atmosphere alone. Great for kids and for family days out.
