West is the place everyone flocks to whenever the sun comes out, whether it be in the middle of summer of the middle of winter, and I can't blame them. It is perched perfectly on the edge of Glasgow Green, just a short walk from the city centre and the East End. The building is iconic in its design and history, it's a beautiful place to spend your day. They also offer tours of the brewery which I would highly recommend.
Of course, the beer itself is adored by everyone in Glasgow. St Mungo is the favourite and I'll admit it's good, however if you visit on a warm day you absolutely need to try Munich Red - it just tastes better when it's hot. West brewery is a prime location for concerts or gigs at the green, just sit back and enjoy the music!
The main attraction is the wonderful beer garden, people can bring their dogs and their babies and even sit on the grass if you don't mind getting a little green. You can also grab some food there, which is surprisingly tasty and great value, the only catch is the food available is different if you intend to dine al fresco.
