Twelve friends banded together and created a source of culture and art in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul in 2013. It's a complex hall for concerts, theater, cinema and more. Its name is Moda Sahnesi. "Sahne" means stage in Turkish.
Moda Sahnesi is a good option in the Kadıköy area, holding concerts as a part of their varying daily programs. The building's biggest showroom is just the right size to house musical performances. Besides that, Moda Sahnesi hosts workshops, literature seminars, fun acting sessions for kids, film screenings, lectures by directors and actors, and, of course, plays. In addition, the stage is an alternative cinema hall.
I love it because I can find independent movies, that is feature films produced outside the major film studio system, in addition to being produced and distributed by independent entertainment companies.
Also, Moda stage hosts very good music festivals from time to time. It's right place to go to in Kadıköy!
