This relatively smaller mosque which is located in the old hans in the market quarter district just to the west of Galata Bridge (the one crossing Golden Horn) is called Rüstempaşa Mosque. Another mind-blowing structure built by the great architect Sinan.

I love to visit this unique spot while I am in the area. The most intriguing thing in the mosque other than its isolated feeling and location away from crowds are its world famous blue tiles. I love to examine each and every one of these fabulous pieces of art if I have time and I believe I have taken the photos of each different pattern. They make lovely wallpapers by the way. This mosque is usually considered in the off the beaten path and believe me it’s worth it.
