This place is one of the great examples of Ukraine-founded networks that became quite famous in the country. In Ukraine, we have another city - Lviv - that is famous for its unusual restaurants. Where part of every place is entertainment and atmosphere. Piana Vyshnia (meaning “Drunk Cherry”) is one of those places that spread from Lviv to Kyiv and became popular here as well.
They have only one thing in their offer - cherry liqueur/wine. It is actually neither - in reality, it is a variant of strong liqueur but tastes closer to wine. I suggest asking for additional cherries, which they usually put in your glass. They go well when you finish your glass.
During the warm season, in the evening, there are always crowds, and you could wait in the queue, however that is part of the experience. The key thing here is the atmosphere. People come to talk with their friends and chose this place as one of their stops during pub crawl that evening. In winter you could choose the hot cherry variant, which is great to get warm inside.
Near this place (just next door), there is another great place where the main dish is meat ribs -Rebernia. That restaurant is another example where Lviv’s food culture meets Kyiv.
