I had a serious problem with gloves, none fit me perfectly, and the material always seemed too thin or too thick for me. Until one day I passed by chance in front of "Guantes Luque"'s windows and I paralyzed -- finally, I had found the solution.
"Guantes Luque" has been hand-making gloves around the corner of the most crowded point in Madrid (Puerta del Sol) since 1886. They don't have a website or accept orders online.
The store has remained intact since 1953 -- antique furniture and sewing machines, a cash register with almost a hundred years and gloves everywhere.
They create and sell all types of gloves made by hand, with a wide variety of styles, materials and colors. I learned that their fame is recognized internationally and even the best designers from many countries approach this store. From here come the gloves that are used in many films, plays, commercials and television series, in Spain and even in Hollywood!
As its actual owner, Álvaro Ruiz, explains: "the glove is the most elegant accessory that exists, and our gloves are made to last a lifetime."
