This beautiful little shop on the outer edges of Rastro territory is the perfect place to buy a unique and original souvenir or gift of your visit to Madrid.
Miguel, the Portuguese owner and designer/creator, not only sells readymade lamps but also takes commissions. He will make pieces to order and ship them to you for a very accessible price. He speaks perfect English, so you won’t have any problem communicating your vision!
His workshop is in the basement. If the shop is closed, ring the bell — he’s probably downstairs working!
All his lamps feature quality materials such as brass, stone, slate and ceramic and have a timeless retro/modern tasteful vibe that looks great in any space.
In addition to table, wall and ceiling lamps, he carries a wide selection of cool lightbulbs and other lighting accessories.
Explore the surrounding streets while you’re there — you’ll find a wealth of antique, vintage, second-hand and junk shops to rummage through.
You can have a drink, a bite or a coffee nearby too, at Casa Gerardo, La Cabra en el Tejado or Casa Alvarez
