I like this budget cinema and at the same time a historical place – Illyuzion, for watching the best Gosfilmofond movies, Russian and foreign. Some of them are even accompanied by live instruments. Awesome! Along the way special movies for people with some disabilities (e.g. hearing loss) are demonstrated here.
Tickets are extremely cheap in comparison to prices of the rest of Moscow's cinemas. Just imagine – 100 RUR - daytime movies and 250 RUR - evening ones. It is in the center of Moscow not far from Kremlin. There are only 14 rows and a very cozy cinema hall. You may buy tickets online.
People (particularly cinematic art figures: film directors and actors) watched either forbidden foreign or Russian masterworks here...almost without censure. It was like labeled territory.
There is a museum of a well-known Russian ballerina Galina Ulanova in this skyscraper. Besides Russian comedy actress Faina Ranevskaya many talented and famous people lived here.
On the opposite side of the building is a tiny cozy park. When it is hot in summer locals escape to the trees' shade on its territory.
