There is a place in Philly where drinks are cheap, alternative lifestyles are present, everyone is accepted, and there is not an inch of wall space upstairs that has not been covered with something. You can also play pool up there if the tables are open.
Tattooed Mom is a great dive bar. Dive bar is a colloquial or informal American term for a disreputable bar or pub. Such bars may also be referred to as neighborhood bars, where local residents gather to drink and socialize. I always have a good time when I go there. People watching is by far my favorite thing to do while sipping on some cheap beer like Pabst or Narraganset.
They also have specials almost everyday, from Pierogies to tacos to tater tots and they also have a great happy hour. There is something for everyone here and all are welcome. When it gets warmer out, they even open up their entire front so you can just walk in right off the street and order up a cold one.
