I already wrote about a couple of places on this street, but for people from Podgorica, Bokeška is a concept in itself.
It is a small street in the city center, not longer than 30 meters, but it is the most popular street in Podgorica. The reason: it's filled with coffee shops and bars. People in Montenegro are generally known as people who love spending their days by drinking coffee with their friends, and this street is the first choice for most people.
Bokeška becomes even more important during summer, when the weather is nice when all of the bars have seating areas in front. During that time, even though all of the bars on the street are quite different, it does not usually really matter where you sit, because Bokeška is like one long bar by itself. It is full around 11:00 - 14:00 when people from the surrounding offices come for a coffee break, after 16:00 when they come for a beer/coffee, and in the evening, when the music gets louder. All of the places here are usually open until 01:00, so if you want to find a place during summer nights, you better be there around 20:00 - 21:00.
So, if you want to experience Podgorica citizens' favorite hobby, go to Bokeška, have a cup of coffee or tea, stay there all day and end up with something stronger in the evening.
