OK, if 2020 brought any good things, the re-opening of Ribnica was that thing. People outside Podgorica will probably not understand this, but you need to know that Ribnica used to be one of the main places in Podgorica. It was a classic, old-fashioned restaurant and one of the main palaces where organized celebrations or proms were organized. The last time I was there was in 2009 at my prom celebration. Not long after that, Ribnica was closed, as well as many other significant places in Podgorica. That is why, when Ribnica re-opened in summer 2020, it was one of the best news for the citizens of the city.
Of course, Ribnica has been renovated and is now CKZ (centre for cultural events) Ribnica. There is now a small vinyl store as well as a studio of the first student radio - Krš (you can find it at 99 MHz, btw). It has three bars, two inside and one on the terrace. The terrace has always been my favorite place, and it seems that it will stay that way because it has kept the old vibe including the original lights. Also, they play great music (from Krš radio) and the prices are quite ok.
They have just opened the place, but it is expected that it will become home to many art events.
