In the center of Prishtina, you can find the historic Kino ABC Theater. Established in the 1960s as Kino Vëllaznimi (Brotherhood), it was renovated in the year 2000 and has since been a local favorite for movie-goers. With its classic ambiance and snug decor, entering Kino ABC gives you the impression that you are stepping into a comfortable environment. The theatre has a uniform, elegant velvet tint, and the lounge area is my favorite part of it, as it connects me with the era of the city before my time.
The cinema has a variety of selected movie themes for all ages, including movies for children and those who love film and want to be an inseparable part of the world of art. Every year, a week-long film festival featuring films from a few foreign nations is held at Kino ABC. Previous festivals have included German Film Week, Turkish Film Week, and French Film Week.
Kino ABC is an essential cultural landmark in Prishtina, and its longevity is a testament to its importance. It's the perfect place to spend a relaxing evening with friends or loved ones, and it's always a welcoming environment. If you're ever in Prishtina, be sure to visit Kino ABC and experience the magic of this historic cinema.
