If you want to gather your thoughts after a stressful day, there’s no better place to do it than in Tokbashqe Park (Taukbahçe). A place with no traffic lights telling you when to stop, it is just as quiet and humble in the morning as it is vibrant and colorful in the afternoon - somewhere to listen to your favorite music with no interruptions and to gaze pensively at the treetops bathed in gold from the early morning sun.
The entrance begins with the "outdoor museum" of the abandoned amusement park - once a youthful scene and the main spot for a fun weekend. As you walk in, you’re faced with a grand shade of trees, vintage footbridges to get you across the creek, and a soft burgundy running path that was once an intense red, looping around the park.
If you’re not a fan of walking, you can spend your time here in the tennis fields and freshen up right outside with this icy water trickle.
The kindest people walk these ways --- grandmas and grandpas keeping in shape with a light jog, animal lovers who take care of human’s best friends, and our youngest and cutest residents cleansing their eyes and lungs from the grey industrious veil, in the green mantle of Prishtina.
