Trsat is one of the most beautiful parts of Rijeka, historically the oldest one. Its famous church and Trsat Castle where you can see a panorama of Rijeka make this part of the city very popular for tourists and photo fanatics.
However, there is one place within the cultural heritage site of Trsat where you can easily hang out with your love, friend or local guy who just brought his own coffee mug to drink his morning dose of caffeine. It is very quiet and calm place where you can have a picnic and enjoy easy wind.
The bus that brings you up to Trsat Hill is number 2, but I would suggest, if you are in shape, to walk up the historical Petar Kruzic stairways. Every person you ask in the city center will know the way to those stairways. As a prize for walking the 500 stairs up, you will get the spot mentioned above. There you can find tap water to hydrate yourself after the hard walk and park benches, so just pick one, and enjoy the beauty of the view of city, sea and hills.
