Great artists know how to create a masterpiece removing unnecessary extras, and this is what Joly Woo is all about. They've created a masterpiece of a menu removing all the extras from the vast catalogue of Vietnamese cuisine products and brought it to perfection.
My personal favourite - Pho Bo, or its vegetarian analogue, Pho Chai. It's a Vietnamese soup with noodles and lots of other ingredients. It can be very spicy and huge (1 litre) at your request.
Apart from that, there is a wide variety of woks, rolls and nems (fried rolls). Vegetarians can easily find something without meat.
I am also a fan of Vietnamese coffee. For me it is more than a drink. The coffee is served in an exotic way. You get a cup with a small coffee pot standing above the cup. And while you eat your coffee is being prepared drop by drop. Just like in some Asian tales.
What I like about Joly Woo is how they've managed to put Vietnamese street food in a cosy Saint Petersburg atmosphere. And it combines everything - food, drinks and interior. And by the way, who doesn’t like yummy food at a reasonable price?
