When I fancy a drink in the Reinkenstraat, music café Foots is generally my first choice, mainly because of the relaxed atmosphere and because they have some great craft beers on the menu. On Wednesday evenings, from 19:00 onwards, there is live music at Foots. They welcome musicians and bands from in and outside of The Hague. Besides this, Foots often is the centre of events in the Reinkenstraat, which only strengthens the lively character of the café.
Two other big plusses are the two outside spaces, one cute garden in the back and one terrace on the side of the street.
They offer some great pub food options, such as chicken saté, a steak, a burger (my go-to option) or fish dishes with catches of the day. Like many enterprises in the Reinkenstraat, they support local produce and, for example, get their meat from the butcher next door. So luckily, you’re at the right address here for food as well. All in all, it’s a tough one to stay away from.
