When you are in the centre of The Hague, drop by Lola Bikes and Coffee. And what’s in a name you ask? Besides the fact that they serve delicious coffee, Lola is centred around bicycles. You can visit Lola’s bike mechanic on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays for any issues with your bike (sidenote: bikes with gears and derailleurs are their specialty).
But what really struck me, in a good way of course, is the lively cycling community that uses Lola as their stomping ground and meeting point. They even have their own cycling club that consists of international cycling lovers that regularly meet up to go for a ride. Anyone with a passion of pedals is more than welcome. How cool is that?! And if you are up for an awesome, not-so-ordinary activity, Lola offers the coolest combination of cycling and the beach yet: the Fatbike Experience, which they describe as the monster truck among bicycles.
Besides the pleasant ambiance Lola has going on, I love the location: one of The Hague’s most iconic street, Noordeinde. The window spots are clearly the best seats of the house, as you can watch everyone pass by.
What I particularly like about Spooky & Sue is that their items are displayed in an orderly way and clothes racks never seem to overflow.
