I am a fan of frozen yoghurt. Though gelato is also my passion, the yoghurt always wins. Fortunately, Valencia has a good variety of frozen yoghurt shops. My favourite one is a family-run Greek Frozen Yogurt café located in the Old Town, relatively close to Colon Street.
The owners use a traditional recipe for fresh, natural, and creamy yoghurt. It is a good source of protein, calcium, and vitamins. On their website, the owners write that they fuse Greek tradition with a touch of innovation. I can not tell you what is the root cause, but the taste is really amazing.
You may create your own unique product — choose a portion of a dedicated size, add a sauce and any combination of toppings from fruits, berries, nuts and cereals to chocolate and sweets. My favorite ones are blueberries that are not so common in the South and pistachios.
No mood for yoghurt today? Try frozen smoothies from natural juices or — an option for vegans — pistachio ice cream. There are some seats, too (though limited), so take your time and enjoy how life goes by while you are in the seventh heaven.
