Bowling Center Valencia, known to locals as La Bolera, isn’t just a bowling alley; it’s a vibrant entertainment destination offering an array of activities for friends and families to enjoy together. Located right across the Turia River in the Campanar neighbourhood, this bowling alley has been loved by locals for 40 years. Not really into bowling? Have no fear; this venue includes other installations such as billiards, table football, and an arcade.
The location is huge: it feels lively without ever feeling too overcrowded. Nonetheless, I recommend going on weeknight evenings or arriving earlier on the weekends if you want to bowl, as there’s usually a wait time if you arrive too late. Another reason to go during the week? It's half the price: the bowling prices inflate during the weekend, but you’ll never find yourself paying more than 8 euros per person for a game. You also have the option to rent a pool table for 8 euros an hour or a ping-pong table for 6 euros an hour; table football and arcade games each cost 1 euro.
If you’re feeling peckish, the venue has a bar that serves coffee, beer, wine, mixed drinks, and loads of food. It’s a great place to celebrate with friends or family when you want guaranteed fun without shelling out the big bucks or the stress of planning. La Bolera also just finished renovating the venue; although I loved the original old-school, no-frills charm, it’s all the more reason to explore it now and enjoy some lighthearted fun.
