La Fábrica de Hielo is located in the Cabanyal area, a historic neighbourhood in the maritime district. For many years it has been degraded until, in the last decade, it has become one of the areas preferred by tourists due to its excellent location next to the sea. The site is situated in front of the beach in an old industrial warehouse that was an ice factory that supplied fishermen.
What I like most about this place is that the interior has been preserved aesthetics without major changes or renovations and a series of containers have been added for the bar, food truck or toilets. The decoration is very original, with reused furniture (tables, sofas, chairs, shelves, books), which gives it an alternative and informal atmosphere. At one end, there is a stage where they periodically perform live music or monologues. There is also a room as a multidisciplinary space for events, conferences, performing arts, and literary presentations. In the outside entrance area, there is a terrace with tables and umbrellas where you can enjoy the good weather.
I recommend that you try one of their burgers or some delicious nachos accompanied by a cool beer in good company. There's no need to book, and the admission is free.
