Every once in a while, I enjoy taking a long walk to Mercado Central and stopping for a coffee. This summer, I decided to try something new. After searching on Google, I came across a café restaurant called Trencat and decided to give it a shot.
Trencat is tucked away in a small alley, just a five-minute walk from the Mercado.
The café has bright decor with a friendly, casual vibe. The menu is stacked with a variety of options ranging from typical Spanish fare (think tostadas and tortillas de patata) to classics like eggs benedict and bagels with cream cheese. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 11:30 and offers plenty of choices to satisfy any morning craving.
Trencat is also open for lunch, featuring a wide selection of bocadillos, burgers, salads, and other savory bites.
In addition to the great food, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is excellent. If you're looking for a non-touristy breakfast in the heart of a touristy area, Trencat is definitely worth a visit!
