As one of the few licensed cinemas in Vancouver, Fifth Avenue Cinemas is a great option for adult movie fans. If you enjoy the big blockbuster titles, but not so much the cheering teenagers and kids around, then put Fifth Avenue on your favorites list. Big film buff? They've got your movies playing as well! Although a part of Cineplex, Fifth Avenue Cinema has a wide variety of all genres, including many international and independent titles.
Let me just clarify that I'm not suggesting the bar is Fifth Avenue's best feature (although it's one I certainly enjoy). The theatre has been around for ages, has been recently remodelled and yet still maintains its cozy, old-school movie theatre feel. The rooms are not huge, which gives it that living room atmosphere, and since it's a 19+ facility, it's a very respectful, quiet environment. With titles to please all film crowds, how can you go wrong? So, grab your bucket of popcorn and your cocktail: this movie theatre has got you covered!
With plenty of cafés and restaurants in the neighbourhood, it's a date night waiting to happen. Fifth Avenue Cinema is situated in the heart of Kitsilano, easily accessible by car or public transit. Just remember to drink responsibly, and enjoy the show!
