Breweries are a big thing in our town. Lots of neighbourhoods have them, and one is more creative than the next. So what makes Strathcona Brewing Company so special? Well, that depends on how much time you have!
Strathcona Brewing Company picked a 'road less traveled' part of town in 2016 to set up shop and the East Hastings neighbourhood welcomed them with open arms! Today, more than 70% of the customers are locals and they can't seem to get enough of these award-winning beers. Shout out to the 'Get down on it IPA' -- you must drink it to understand.
Come in for the 12 rotating taps and in-house made ciders and stay for a pizza in their shared seating area. The food menu also includes salads, appetizers and a special rotating 'fresh' menu with the chef's latest creations. All this with music in the background that will take you back in time. Created by the staff, the playlists are meant to capture the mood of the space. But trust me, these people know their music.
They also serve wine if you're not big on beers or ciders, so they've got all of you covered. And since pizza's always a good idea, consider making a stop at Strathcona Brewing Company next time you're out.
