Graffiti, Street Art, Urban Art...? Don't even think about it! I'm not getting involved in the discussion. I just love it when gray cities turn into something better, something more colorful, something joyful that brightens my day. I am, however, well aware that after all it's ART and with that, it's just the same as with beauty: it lies in the eye of the beholder.
The photo was taken at the Donaukanal at Nussdorfer Lände. If you are interested in biking or walking down that recreation canal, I suggest you start here and follow the direction of the water. Once you get to Schwedenplatz, you can rest in one of the many beach bars along the canal (check out my favorite ship at the area here!). You also find coffee shops, restaurants, or in summer beach bars around there.
But as this street art map shows, there are many more spots for you to enjoy the beautified gray in Vienna. Another tip on where to get updates on Urban Art in the city is bob.marlis who is probably the best graffiti detective in Vienna ;) or Vienna Murals' site on the famous blue book.
The list found here will of course never be complete, a quick look at the dedicated Flickr page or my Instagram is evidence of countless more burner pieces all over Vienna.
