I am not exaggerating. Do you know that feeling you have on a gloomy Monday, after you've spent your weekend just being lazy in your bed or visiting cool places in the city -- that feeling you just want to get rid of, pronto? Well, Kavantura is the place to be in Zagreb.
Kavantura is a small neighborhood cafe in the western part of the city, conveniently on the way to Lake Jarun. A cup or two (or six) of delicious caffeine injection is the way to start your exercise. Although, if you do not take it to go, I guarantee you will not move from the cozy terrace once you sit down. They have coffees from all around the world, always two kinds in the grinders which you can try in every imaginable way – espresso, hario, aeropress, cappuccino, macchiato, lungo... and my favorite Cold Brew. It is nicely chilled filter coffee. If you haven’t tried that yet, you are missing out a lot!
They even have a Turkish coffee on offer which they prepare in hot sand! The icing on the cake is that all this deliciousness is prepared and served by dynamic coffee duo Irena Rašeta and Dejan Ganžulić. Dejan, apart from being a professional barista, is Croatian Champion in AeroPress and the organizer of the first Coffee festival in Croatia.
Kavantura has an excellent selection of liqueurs, strong drinks, craft beers, red and white wines; combined with original Italian pastries, it is an after-work heaven.
