There has been an interesting culinary trend in recent years in Athens where the modern coffee shop is combined with a contemporary version of the traditional nut shop to create a complete food proposition. There are many examples in Athens, but my favourite place is Oliver Nuts and Flavors in Pagrati.
Oliver Nuts and Flavors opened five years ago in Varnava Square, which has been very popular recently and has acquired its own fanatical audience. The store is a delicious paradise with great coffee and excellent quality products worldwide.
Aside from the freshly ground coffee, which is either made on the spot or purchased in bulk to take home, you will find exceptional and always fresh nuts in sufficient variety. Among them, you should try the vegetable chips, but also my favourite - Japan mix (a savory blend of whole peanuts covered in a crunchy, cracker-like coating). You will also find fresh cereal bars, granola, sweets, jams, and chocolates.
Oliver Nuts and Flavors is a well-rounded and delicious offering. And no matter how frequently I've been there, I've never been let down by the high standard and wide selection of goods.
