You've planned a short break to a new city. Just a couple of days, running around to not miss any important sights and to absorb it all. Sounds familiar? It's at least what I do on my city trips. Result? I end up exhausted after my holidays.
However, Barcelona is the perfect city to slow down your pace. Adjust to the Spanish laid back style and take it easy. The perfect place to relax and take a break from running around the city is Aire de Barcelona. A luxurious hammam spa right in the middle of the cosmopolitan Born neighbourhood.
The spa is located in a historical building in the meat storage area of the former El Born market, where they discovered many old wells that used to supply the city with water. It is this beautiful space, deep down beneath the old bricks of Barcelona, that gives you the feeling you have entered a 1001 nights fairytale.
The baths vary from salty, hot, cold and bubbly and the staff is welcoming and helpful. You can add a massage if you'd like, but the baths itself are already worth it. This place is perfect for a break from sightseeing or a very romantic addition to your city trip. So indulge yourself with some luxury and relax in this amazing spa!
They work in shifts and only allow a limited amount of people in, preventing it from getting too crowded. So make sure to reserve yourself a spot before you pass by.
