Familia Osorio is a local Barcelona specialty coffee roaster. It has quite a lot of clients, so I would not be surprised if in some cool coffee shop or branch around town you found some of their bags on sale.
What few people know is that they have a great coffee shop of their own that opened its doors in 2019 so that they could brew and sell those coffees to perfection. It is simple, yet functional. Open, yet cozy. Ivan, the owner, has decorated it very simply but that gives the place a very crafty atmosphere. Sometimes you might find him there, and when not, there will always be a great barista to take your order.
The shop, when it was still possible (a.k.a. before Covid times) used to host great events. One of them was a Geisha Coffee Cupping, with beans worth more than 1.000 euros per kilo. Lucky me - I was there to taste those gorgeous products!
It is located in my favourite zone of Barcelona- Poblenou. It gets a bit far from the hot spots of coffee and food, so it may pass unnoticed by people that do not know Barcelona very well. Lucky you, you can count on Spotted by Locals.
And for more specialty coffee places, you can always rely on BCNCOFFEEGUIDE map.
