When I first moved to Barcelona, I was living close to Marmalade. An amazing bar based in Raval with a cocktail menu and a cheesecake that got me hooked right away. To the point I was known as the "cosmo & cheesecake" girl. But the years went by and I moved to another neighbourhood. Not too far away, but far enough to stop my regular visits.
Moving away from Raval meant trying new cocktail bars. I have tried many, but was disappointed every time. High prices, bad ingredients; it made me switch to wine. Or walk my way back to Raval....But then I discovered Marmalade has a little sister!
Little, for Milk is the smaller version and thus a little more cosy. Hidden in the small streets of the Gotic quarter it offers you brunch, dinner (great burgers!) and a long list of delicious and affordable cocktails. It is the perfect bar to get your night started with just a drink or take your friends for a simple yet delicious dinner. Milk is open all day and also offers a good brunch menu...
But I keep going back for the cocktails, as I have never had a better cosmopolitan than at this place. You can't go wrong here when it comes to ordering a drink. The staff is very friendly and can surely advise you when you have difficulties in making a decision from the variety of cocktails. Just don't get tricked into the Michelada....unless you are very brave!
"Parc de la Ciutadella" Barcelona is my favourite place in Barcelona. The park is like my back yard, so I go there often. There is never a dull moment here!
