Kitchenette Brussels – Nice breakfast spot in St. Gilles

""Kitchenette" is a tiny café that I like to go to for breakfast, decorated in a retro 1950s style, with colorful and quirky antique furniture..."

Kitchenette is a tiny café in an increasingly lively corner of Saint-Gilles. So far, there are many great bars but not many options for coffee and breakfast. In this spot, there is a great selection of fresh juices and hot drinks - the hot chocolate is especially tasty. They also offer a variety of fresh pastries and bread, as well as a limited selection of food for lunch.

The café is decorated in a retro 1950s style, with colourful and quirky antique furniture. The people there are very friendly, which makes it an excellent place to stop in for a weekday breakfast, or a mid-morning coffee. It's also very nice on Saturday, when they are open a little later so you can take advantage and have a lazier start. On warmer days they have a few tables outside, which is a good place to catch the sun.

Le Canard Sauvage – Restaurant and bookshop

The vibe is retro and boho, reminiscent of a canteen: parquet floor, recovered school tables and chairs, old fashioned posters.
