When the weather in Brussels turns milder, I like organising a “friends’ evening” once a week. It works like this: I tell my group of close friends that every Tuesday evening I will be drinking in a bar and all those who can and are willing simply join in. It works wonderfully! Possibly because my bar of choice is Kosmos.
This Greek-inspired joint is a corner of Plaka’s (Athens) liveliness on Place Jourdan. The bar is small, with some seating inside and bigger capacity at its tables on the terrace. But the ambience is simply great! All throughout the year it is full of a hip crowd enjoying a good beer and delicious Greek mezzes, while chatting the evening away. Of course, you will not be let down if instead of beer you ask for ouzo, tsipouro or even cocktails and whisky! And true to the Greek spirit, Cosmos is one of the last places to close down in the area, which makes the perfect spot for a nightcap!

There's nothing in Brussels like "Le Corbeau". It's a brasserie, a local restaurant/bar, but at night it becomes the opposite of Cinderella's fairytale...

"Bois de La Cambre" is the preferred spot for me on a sunny day in Brussels. There is more to this park than a spot to have a picnic.
