If you're looking to enjoy some calm bistrot with real locals in the south of Brussels, come by Perruche right next to Duden park. This corner of Brussels is up and coming as more and more people move further away from the center with the ever-increasing living prices. La Perruche, literally meaning 'the parrot' is a cute little corner café that serves cold beers, hot drinks, amazing cookies, and small dinner plates.
What I love about this corner bistrot is that Perruche caters to all needs. It is a place frequented by families (lots of games for kids), students (perfect to sit and study), and friends (big tables for your bday drink!). Everyone comes here to enjoy the cozy vibes in winter and the long sunshine on the relatively large terrace outside. Because it's next to Duden park definitely take a stroll around the dense trees and kids playing before you treat yourself to a fresh lemonade or a beer.
